Dear friends,
It has been a year with huge changes for us. The biggest transformation has been our move to the city of Kolding in September. Peter has got a new job as mission worker in a Danish Lutheran mission association, and he is working around Southern Denmark and Funen.
Moving house is demanding, but we are now well experienced in that area. We have been blessed with a wonderful big flat with 4 rooms, which now makes room for guests! The flat is on the 9 th floor, and our views are stunning. We enjoy our beautiful outlook at the city in one side of our flat and Kolding Fjord on the other. It takes time to settle into a new place, but we have been welcomed by our neighbors and the local church community.
Peter has had a good beginning in his new job as well. Next year Peter will travel around a lot in the area preaching. Bodil has enjoyed settling in and making the flat into a nice new home. It has been a great help for Peter with the many demands from his office work at home and duties elsewhere.
We have spent many of our days off hiking in the local area. When we lived In Bramming, we hiked in the flat and rough western part of Jutland, but now we have come to a hillier area with nice trails by the sea. We have started going mushroom hunting, and it has been a great joy this Autumn to find delicate mushrooms in the woods and then have them for dinner afterwards.
We will celebrate this Christmas at Peter’s sister’s nearby, and later in the season we will visit Bodil’s family.
It is a challenging time for many families with high living costs. We are thankful that we have all we need every day. We wish you a blessed Christmas and a happy New Year.
Love and blessings,
Peter and Bodil
