The choir at All Saints is led by the Leader/Organist Mark Thompson, and is affiliated to the Royal School of Church Music. We are an enthusiastic mixed choir, who are always eager to learn new and interesting pieces of music. Our repertoire is extensive, but we are always keen to add to it. The choir is required to sing for most Sunday services at 11am. It also has a commitment to some additional services at  Easter and  Christmas, and occasionally at weddings.

We are always happy to accept new members in all voice parts, whatever your experience. Sight reading is a great benefit, but not essential as this is also taught using the RSCM “Voice for Life” programme.

You do not need to be musically trained to join the choir and an initial interest would not commit you, but who knows, you may get to enjoy choral music and singing with us?

The choir has its practise night each Wednesday evening in the Church House opposite the Church at 7.00pm until 8.15pm.

We also have a junior chorister section and are developing links with All Saint’s school. Children in the choir are most welcome and receive a small payment each term as well as other seasonal treats!

As a choir, we are happy sometimes to try more difficult musical pieces joining choirs in the RSCM Choral Festivals at Saint Asaph and Chester Cathedrals, as Gresford is ideally situated to access the Chester Diocesan events as well as our own. These events can often be most uplifting and spur choristers on to gain awards for their singing. The choir is a robed choir, and can be engaged to sing for Weddings at All Saints, Gresford.

We also enjoy regular social events of various kinds in order to further develop our fellowship.
